Molajo – Joomla Distribution | Design and Concept
The point of focus for today’s discussion is the Molajo’s Logo, which is created by Babs Gösgens. The project was presented by Matt Thomson for the first time in “Joomla! Day New York 2010″. The logo itself does not really seem catchy, but the concept, logo and the name all acts conjugated. The logo does need explanation and justification as it does not speak much for itself.
Some of the bullet points from Matts presentation are discussed below, which highlights the need of thinking at the behind the stage theory of the Logo.
- The Logo symbolizes unity and collaboration. All in the name, concept and the objective of the company can be understood with the help of this logo.
- The logo represents two crocodiles with a single stomach. The catch is to make people realize that their success is dependant upon the company and the success of the company is based on them.
- In the end, the logo is actually a character set of West African Symbology, which is still used as a reminder of the fact that it is all the same, despite few cultural differences.
- The logo symbolizes that the differences between each other must be embraced and not battled.
The company is extremely enchanted with the works of Babs Gösgens for the Molajo project and Joomla!. They look forward to get further assistance from them to positively express the needs and objectives of the organization in the best possible ways.
