Mitsubishi Logo – Design And History!

The three diamond logo instantly remind us of the famous Mitsubishi logo. Mitsubishi is a Japanese group of companies consisting of a range of autonomous businesses which share the Mitsubishi brand, trademark and legacy. Mitsubishi built its very first car in 1917. Although the company was founded in 1870 as a ship builder company.

The word Mitsubishi is actually the combination of two words “Mitsu” means three and “hishi” word is used to denote the diamond shape. As Japanese always bend the “h” sound with “b” when it occurs in the middle of the word, so they pronounced the word mistsuhishi as Mitsubishi.

In 1870, the Mitsubishi logo represents the ship propeller as Mitsubishi was started as a shipping company. However later on, the propeller type symbols changes to diamond like symbols.
