Dodge Logo – Design And History!

Dodge logo is one of the unique and attractive car logos of the world. Dodge was initially started in 1900 by John Dodge and Horace Dodge as auto motive parts supplier company and later on in 1914 it presents its very own first vehicle. The brand was later sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928.

The initial Dodge logo was round with a six-pointed star in the middle(two triangles interlocking each other). Also an interlocked DB present at the center of the star with the words Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicles encircled in the outside edge. This logo was used from 1914 – 1927.

In 1955, Chrysler introduce new logo and named it “Forward look dodge logo”. This logo design was designed by Virgil Max “Ex” Exner, Sr. Since the dodge was acquired by Chrysler in 1928, This logo acts as dodge logo and was incorporated into Dodge advertising, decorative trim, ignition and door key heads, and accessories through September 1962. The logo consisted of two overlapped boomerang shapes, suggesting space age rocket-propelled motion.

In 1962, dodge new fratzog logo appears. It was composed of three arrowhead shape forming a 3 pointed star. From 1967 to 1992, Dodge used Chrysler’s Pentastar logo.

The current ram head dodge logo was introduced in 1993, which became the standard logo for all dodge vehicles in 1996. The new logo is attractive and represents the strong history of dodge company.
