Audi Logo – Design And History!

The four ring emblem is one of the oldest car manufacturers logo, the audi logo.AUDI AG is a German company which produces luxury cars under the Audi brand. It is part of the Volkswagen Group. The name Audi is based on a Latin translation of the surname of the founder August Horch which means “listen”.

Audi Logo was designed in 1932. Audi Logo symbolizes the 1932 merger of the four independent motor-vehicle manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. Together with the NSU brand, which joined in 1969, these companies are the roots of the present-day AUDI AG. The first Audi logo was the four ring device with one original motor corp logos positioned inside each ring. Recently Audi logo got a little makeover. The new logo got changes in the font and also improves on the 3-dimensional aspect of the rings.

There is another theory behind Audi logo that the use of four rings in audi logo is most likely to generate back to the date of Claus Detlof of Oertzen, who described the idea as being something related to Olympia.
